Larry Wasem provided our inspiration with his usual flair of thought-provoking quotes about the common sense and the politics — two subjects that don’t always go together.
President Marc had us sing along to the BeeGees song Staying Alive that was dedicated to the heated-battles of the political debates and primary election results.
We welcomed Daniel Myers’ guest, Jason Black with Edward Jones Financial Services, who was visiting the Club for the second time.
We learned that our Youth Exchange son, Vincent Larcin, was getting ready to travel to Ohio and meet up with other exchange students — the group is headed by bus to Washington D.C. and New York for 11 days!
We welcomed back Diane Brabetz back from her recent trip with her husband, Les, to Mexico where they celebrated their 46th anniversary in grand fashion. Diane didn’t come back empty-handed either — she offered a fabulous gift basket from Mexico for the Lobster Feed Silent Auction with loads of really great local Mayan artisans items!
Sue Nelson was recognized as our Rotarian of the Month in a special way with photos of her offered by her sweet husband, John. Sue reminded us all to sign-up for the March 24th Windsor Blood Drive — the gift of life is made possible with the gift of blood.
John LeCave was full of energy and ideas after returning from his President-Elect Training Seminar (PETS) weekend in San Jose. John shared about how much he learned about Rotary and encouraged everyone to attend the upcoming Training Assembly on Saturday, April 9th at Mendocino College in Ukiah — the Club pays the registration for any Member attending the District Training Assembly.
Tim O’Connor presented his Craft Talk that highlighted his life experiences including growing up in Ireland, moving the United States (he’s been here for seven years), and his work with Chase Bank before taking his current position with Exchange Bank. Tim also shared the best parts of his life: his lovely wife, Amy, and two adorable daughters, Caroline and Aibheen.
Marc gave thanks and some cash towards his fines for the special time he and his wife, Diane, got to spend accompanying their son, Sean, to the Prom for Students with Special Needs — it was a true milestone moment for their son!

Featured Program — Our own Renee Hyde (State Farm Insurance) gave a very enlightening talk about maximizing the most from your Social Security benefits. The topic of maximizing your distribution benefits from Social Security sure caught the attention of the room as evident with the many detailed questions Renee received. Special thanks to Renee for sharing her expertise about how to success in the game of life.
Joan Mora closed the meeting with inspiring words to carry us through the day.
