The Windsor Rotary 5th Annual Lobster Feed Was Saturday, April 6, 2019
This event was all about raising funds for the Kids in Windsor. Proceeds went to:
- Windsor Middle School Theater Upgrade: New curtains, enhanced lighting, and sound system. Used by performing arts, including bands, drama, and dance groups, and Windsor Academy for the Arts.
- New band instruments for WMS & WHS.
- Windsor High School Project Grad: Providing a safe and sober all night party experience for seniors after their Grad Day.
- Choices Program to help WHS Freshman make choices to finish high school and graduate.
A message from our Club President:
Thank you to everyone who supported and attended our April 6 Lobster Feed Celebration. It’s our fun and tasty way to raise funds for all of our local community projects.
The attendees spent the evening with over 200 friends and neighbors, enjoying local wine and craft beer tastings while perusing the amazing silent auction offerings, and then sat down to a whole lobster with the center of the table full of corn, sausage, shrimp, potatoes and artichokes. After dinner, our energetic auctioneer, Carla, presented the live auction offerings and the Fund-A-Need project for the Windsor Music Department.
The evening concluded with lively dancing to music provided by Dax Entertainment.

Blast and Brew Party for 10
Have you ever wanted to blow something up? Now is your chance! As the winning bidder, you and nine lucky friends will be driven to a local quarry where you’ll get an in-depth, behind the scenes tour from Bodean Co., Inc. Director of Operations, Charlie Young. Then you’ll accompany their crew and assist in initiating a live blast! Using explosives, we will blast hard rock which is the first step in the mining process.
Following the excitement, you’ll enjoy a catered lunch from Oliver’s, served to you on top of the mountain by our capable Rotary staff!
But you’re not done yet! As you are driven back to town, you’ll be delivered to the Russian River Brewing Company right here in Windsor for the “BREW” part of this item. Now it’s time to relax and calm down with your own private brewery tour and tasting. This experience will take place on a mutually agreeable Saturday in either June or July 2019. This Russian River Brew Company portion of this experience is for adults only.
Private Golf Tournament for 12
You are the Director for your own, private Golf Tournament for a total of 12 golfers playing TWO 18-hole rounds at the incredibly beautiful and challenging courses at the Windsor Golf Club, Windsor and Rooster Run, Petaluma. Carts are included for all players during both rounds, and everyone will be hosted for lunch at the snack bars at both courses. Fire Truck Ride and Dinner at the Windsor Fire Station

The lucky, successful bidders for the Farm to Table Catered Dinner, Auction Item #1403, will be enjoying catered hors d’oeuvres and a four (4) course dinner for eight (8) served in the comfort of their own home. The meal will be prepared with the very finest local, farm fresh ingredients from Santa Rosa’s Original Certified Farmer’s Market and prepared by the acclaimed Pegi Ball Catering Company. In addition, wines will be provided to accompany both the appetizers and dinner. So, bring your friends together for a true dining celebration with everything provided including clean up. (The scheduling of this dinner and planning for the meal will require coordination with Pegi Ball a minimum of 2-weeks in advance.)
Salmon Fishing Extravaganza for Four and Dinner for Eight
Enjoy a day of salmon fishing for four on the Outer Limits fishing boat docked in Sausalito. This fishing excursion will be scheduled on a Monday sometime during the summer of 2019 depending on the salmon fishing season. This excursion includes the fishing trip and all equipment needed followed by a BBQ salmon dinner for eight. The dinner for eight will be scheduled the Saturday following the fishing trip. This gourmet meal will include four courses and a wine pairing. Rotarian Warin Parker will coordinate the fishing trip while Rotarians Pam and Ken Moulton will host the dinner in their home in Windsor.
